Proprietors - The Brown Family
Neill and Joan Brown have owned their family acreage in Abbotsford BC for over 30 years, and is now home to three family generations. Always wanting to make the most of their land, they planted their vineyard in 2007, and have traditionally sold their grapes to other wineries in the Fraser Valley. After finishing successful careers in Law and Nursing, their retirement dream of starting a small winery where they could showcase their Siegerrebe grapes came to fruition. Clearbrook Vineyards is truly a family operation, where their adult children and grandchildren, can help with harvesting grapes in the vineyard, marketing, and selling wine.
Vineyard Manager and Winemaker
Mike Anderson began working part time for the Brown Family in 2011 as a vineyard hand, while wanting to make extra money as a student. After a couple of seasons in the vineyard, Mike decided it was time to move east to the Okanagan, where he could pursue a winemaking career. Working in the cellars and vineyards of many reputable wineries, including two vintages overseas, he eventually made his way to Winemaker in 2015. Having completed both a M.Sc. in Wine Science, and his Viticulture Certificate, Mike eventually made his way back to the Fraser Valley in 2018. Helping the Browns regenerate their vineyard and establish their garage winery, Mike now has helped with the realization of a dream to own their own winery.
In addition to Clearbrook Vineyards, Mike also has his own wine label and consults for other wineries and vineyards in the Fraser and Okanagan Valleys.
